Services

A manufacturer in Nashik usually comes to the firm with one pressing matter, such as a GST notice, a tax assessment or annual accounts that the bank has questioned. The matter is seldom isolated. A credit mismatch tends to reflect a stock record that was not reconciled, and the same gap may affect the income tax return and the next stock statement.

The firm works in nine areas, grouped below by type of work. Each service page explains what the work involves and what changes for a manufacturer, and it lists the documents we need before we begin. Once the business is known to us, the next piece of work is generally clearer to both sides.

Taxation, GST and compliance

Every business needs this work each year: income tax and TDS, GST registration and returns, accounting, financial statements, and company and LLP filings. Most difficulties are first seen here, as a notice, a credit mismatch or a filing that disagrees with the books. A mismatch left unreconciled at this stage normally returns later as a demand with interest, and the rest of the work rests on this part being correct.

Audit and advisory

Statutory, tax and internal audit, together with advice of the kind a finance head would give: monthly MIS, budgets, bank finance and business structure. Planning of personal and family wealth for business owners belongs to this part of the work as well. Section 144 of the Companies Act, 2013 applies where the firm is a company's statutory auditor. It bars the firm from also keeping that company's books, running its internal audit or providing management services. Other work for an audit client, such as taxation, GST and transfer pricing, needs the approval of its board or audit committee.

Group and factory finance

When related entities in a group trade with each other, in India or abroad, the prices between them have to be supported by transfer pricing documentation where it applies; without it, an adjustment can follow at assessment. Inside the factory, a costing that no longer matches actual consumption leaves margins unexplained. This part of the work covers transfer pricing, product costing, inventory, working capital and profitability by product and customer, together with carbon credits, environmental compliance and sustainability reporting. The principal's years with manufacturing groups inform it.

Some requests fall outside the work of the firm. They are listed here so that a business can see at the outset whether a matter belongs with us. Where a request of this kind arises during an engagement, it is declined, and the client may be referred to the appropriate regulated professional.
